Dated Wednesday, July 31st, 1957, this charming piece of maritime memorabilia captures a snapshot of shipboard luxury and colonial-era global travel.
The menu features a stunning illustrated depiction of Mount Kenya and a noble lion, drawn by Ken Young, A.R.P.S., a known artist and photographer of the time. It was part of the décor and marketing style used aboard the Union-Castle Line ships, famed for their service between the UK and Africa.
