Description:

This antique lithograph print from Cassell’s Poultry Book showcases a prize-winning pair of Silver-Laced Wyandottes, a striking breed known for its intricate feather pattern, hardy nature, and excellent egg-laying abilities. Owned by Mr. T.C. Heath, the cock won 1st Prize at Crystal Palace and Birmingham in 1886, while the hen secured 1st Prize at Crystal Palace and Birmingham in 1885, making them champions of their time.

The Silver-Laced Wyandotte is one of the most visually stunning chicken breeds, featuring black-and-white laced plumage and a compact, well-rounded body. This beautifully detailed Victorian-era print, produced by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son, Lithographers, captures the elegance and symmetry of this exceptional poultry breed against a classic farmyard backdrop.

The print itself measures approximately 17 x 20 cm and has been mounted on black cardboard with a 2cm border, making it ideal for framing or display.

📌 Condition: This is an original late 19th-century print, not a reproduction. Due to its age, there may be minor signs of wear, including light foxing, edge discoloration, or slight creasing, which contribute to its authentic antique charm.

A must-have collectible for poultry breeders, vintage print collectors, and admirers of historic agricultural artwork.
